Great money saving book, 50% cheaper than at school
Required for a class, super out of date, would recommend finding a newer version for practical use
It's an interesting book, but very outdated. This was required material for my class...in 2013...the book is from like 2007. Not much about smartphones, no tablets, no anonymous, BIG disappointment.
You can't really blame the publishers. By the time a book about computer technology is in print, it's already out of date. This one is no different. A couple of key points seemed to be missing (such as locking down USB devices in the registry and a decent discussion of Linux utilities). Subjects are glossed over, but not discussed in detail. I have other books that are better that are significantly less money.
I found a bargain compared to purchasing this textbook from my school. I'll keep my eyes open for future deals.
This is an excellent book for computer forensics. Everything if very up to date and talks about present day data
